Alaska is synonymous with mountains and the most well known of these mountains is Denali (far right peak). Standing at 20, 320 feet it is a sight that can be seen from Fairbanks to Anchorage and many other areas of Alaska. But this giant doesn’t stand alone in a mountain range that is capable of determining its own weather. Pictured here are Mt. Foraker (far left) and Mt. Russell (smaller peak in the center). This group of mountains are the three highest peaks in the Alaska range. And I am lucky enough to live in a place where I can see them anytime it is clear (which to be honest doesn’t happen often). Here is a shot from a sunset this spring.
