So I drove up to the Eagle River Nature Center which is about 10 miles west of Eagle River. The drive itself is a beautiful short drive that takes you down the Eagle River valley and if you are lucky you will catch a glimpse of a bear, moose or some other type of wildlife. One thing you can always count on seeing during the summer are the wildflowers. It is still early in the season here but today I spotted wild roses, jacobs ladder and chiming bells in bloom. These flowers are also known as bluebells, lungwort, and the languid lady. And right now they are mixed in with the wild roses and make for a splendid view. I can’t wait to see what else this valley has in store for us in the wild flower department.
