Shrine of St. Therese

I was lucky enough to sneak in a trip to Juneau, AK this spring. This is only my second time in our state capital and I was excited to spend some time there(even if it was only 24 hours). My coworker and I flew in on an early morning flight and decided to rent a car and drive all the roads around the area. Now this might sound like a big feat to some but Juneau does not have a way out of the area by road. The only way in or out is by plane or boat. Neat-less to say there are not a ton of roads but where the roads lead make it worth the effort. So, we headed north and about 20 miles down the road we came across this shrine. It was beautiful. It is located on a small peninsula and is part of a retreat that is maintained by the Catholic church. You can go out and walk along the peninsula and go into the shrine. The whole area was stunning and we had our best sighting of wildlife there as well: Orcas and Sea Lions were plentiful. Definitely check this place out if you get a chance.
